Poor Pugs! Just like humans have to deal with the not-so-pleasant side effects of allergy season, Pugs have allergies to deal with as well.
The difference is your fur child may experience allergies from his wrinkles, which if are not cleaned properly can result in skin irritations and worse, other skin conditions such as Skin Fold Pyoderma.
Symptoms to watch for if your Pug is dealing with a more serious skin condition includes chronic itching and a lot of scratching. He may even try to bite at an affected area which can lead to a skin infection.
Allergies also may include other symptoms such as him sneezing and having a runny nose.
In order to keep your Pug healthy carefully watch for allergies and know what else to look for that can lead to doggy skin conditions. Read up on it on page 2!

My pug is 9 years old and has always had skin problems. Now she is better. I give her 1/4 spoon a day of Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil. Skin is great! Feed her Blue Buffalo Basics for small breed and Blue Buffalo treats. NO PEOPLE FOOD! Bathe her once a week with medicated shampoo from vets office. Finally much better‼️ also remove carpeting!

We tried everything and our Puggy is allegic to fish. So fish oil is out but our vet gave us epaquil and he is better. No ear fungus no skin rashes and no paw licking. Wish we had this years ago. But you do have to give him a pro biotic with the meds.
